Memory and Kerstein's Athletics Recount

Paragraph 1: I was with all the year 5 girls and with Miss Garden she was our leader. My team was called Tainui now it is called Hine Moana I think that is a better name than Tainui.

Paragraph 2: The first sport we did was shot put their were two events the first event was if we wanted to win some points for our team, the second event was if we wanted just to have fun. If we are in the practising and we are good at it we need to go to the other team. That was my favourite sport.

Paragraph 3: The sports that I participate in was high jump, shot put, discus and javelin plus my favourite sport was high jump. The thing I loved about it was because I love jumping and the thing that was really hard was doing the scissor kick It was pretty hard but at least I tried my best.

Paragraph 4: Athletics is important to me because we could work as a team and also you could find new friends as well.I love sports it is the best it makes me feel good about myself.

My brainstorm

Happy Halloween

On Halloween my family and I didn't go trick or treating nut it doesn't matter at least we are a family said my dad. I ask my dad this " Dad what are we going to do today" and he said we will go and buy our own lollies for Halloween and some for the trick or treating kids. So we went to Pak'n Save.


As soon as we got to Pak'n Save we went looking for the lollies. Finally we found the lollies so we went to pick some lollies I picked the L&P chocolate, my sisters picked M&Ms and this lolly  I forgot what it was called but..... After that we went to the counter and after that we went home.

After all that we were finally home and we got to play a game with the lollies. Their is only one rule: you are not allowed to eat anyone's lollies. My family and I enjoyed it it was Magnificent and Amazing.

It was really fun I couldn't stop laughing because it was so funny when me and my dad always lose and we never got any lollies but it doesn't matter. Have a Happy Halloween.

My Holiday Highlight

In the holidays I went to the Netball holiday Program at the AMI Netball courts. The people who were there from our school was Lotu, Sulieti, Memory, Patrisha and Lishana. We all met new friends there.

Their names are Jasmine and Mechico. We got to do the Program for 3 days Monday to Wednesday. We thought it was just Pt England Netball teams going but when we got there their were heaps of people from different schools but unless we met new friends.

First we were doing some stretching after that we went into groups my coach’s name is Serenah. She taught us how we should balance when we jump and catch the ball. She said we had to bend our knees when we land. Another thing she taught us when we do overhead pass we should throw it to their chess.

The last thing we did was playing a game of Netball there were 4 Teams there was Dark Red, Black, Pink and Light Red. I was in the black team were the winner in the first game and we had to vs the team who won on the other side so after that the points were 5 all and there was only 10 seconds and black got six and we all were screaming YAY WE WON!! but then Serenah said well done black. So we did our cant and we said “ Go Black Yay “.

My favourite thing about the holiday program was that we were working hard as a team. Then we got to al, go home I was exhausted then I went to sleep.

Immersion Assembly

On Monday October 12th Pt England School and all the Teachers and Parents were at the Immersion Assembly inside Pt England Hall. The topic for this term is Outwit, Outsmart, Outlast and PES SURVIVORS, ADAPTATION AND ADAPT. Team 1 are learning about the zoo because they are going to the zoo on Thursday 29th of October.

Next was Team 2 they are learning about dinosaurs after that they told Barney the dinosaur to come out. Wait I just remembered Team 1 did a Karaoke with the song Roar by Katy Perry. They are learning about animals to like Lions, Monkeys and Little baby Cubs and Gorillas. It was Amazing, Fabulous, Survivable and Adaptive.

Team 4 were telling people from team 4 where are they. They said lots of different places like the jungle in Australia it was so funny. All the movies were quite funny but the Team who didn't have a movie was Team 5 were acting about learning how to adapt it was incredible and amazing all the movies were about adaptation.

I learn’t that we should Survive by Adapting and what I liked about assembly is we get to see all the teachers perform. Do you think the little singers are cool?

Nesian Fusion

Introduction

The Nesian Fusion performed at Pt England School in the hall at assembly. It was on Friday 18th Sept 2015 they were dressed with makeup on. They were practicing their performance for Saturday.

1st Paragraph

What I liked about the music was it was a beat box which is Beau Monga  and what I liked about Nyssa’s music was it was a Samoan version and it was a english version too. Their Sharp moves with the Ailao, One Pacific  T-Shirts and some cool dancers.

2nd Paragraph

They spun the Ailao so fast at the end of the music. (No to Fear) I was really inspired I wished I was in that group because I have always wanted to spin an Ailoa.

Conclusion

I thought it was awesome and the dancers are talented. They are very talented with the Ailao.

About Cross Country

Introduction

On a muddy Monday all the families, parents, teachers and the whole school were at a muddy cross country on the PES Reserve.

2nd Paragraph

In our magnificent class we got changed, next we left our class before we left we went toilet after that we went to the hard courts. When we got on the courts we sat waiting for our turn. When it was our turn Mrs Nua came and took us on the line then we got ready for a race.

3rd Paragraph

When Mrs Nua took us we had to stand in line for the race, then Mr Burt said ready set go and he used the wooden clappers. Then we started running around the muddy field and we went out of the gate to the PES reserve all the way in front of the park and all the way back to school I was so exhausted but I saw the finished line so I ran as fast as I could.

I came past the finish line but then I came 11th or 10th anyway .I was still proud of myself. I am in Tainui which is blue.

Trade

Trade means when you swap something for something else. You could swap a doll for money, something for a service, money for a service etc. You got the idea. Trade is an exchange of things.

Enterprise

Enterprising is when your starting a new bussiness. When you are making something to sell. First you need a plan, then you figure out what you need and make it. Then you can trade it.

Custom Stationary group.

I am in the Custom Stationary group at school. We are being enterprising because We are making bookmarks to sell. They look cool because they have a pitucture of you on it you can have anything on it.

If I had a million dollars

If I had a million dollars I would go to Sylvia Park and go to the store’s. I will go to a food store most of the time with my family. The first store I will go to is Hoyts then we will go to Kiwi yo for some ice - cream then I will go to JB HI-FI to buy heaps of stuff.

At Hoyts I will be watching Decendants first I will get some popcorn and some drinks for my family and I. My favourite characters are Mal and Jay Because they are good at acting and I only know what’s Mal’s Real name it is Cameron she is very good at acting.

After Hoyts I will go to Kiwi yo for some ice - cream my flavour is Nom Nom Panda it has sprinkles and heart shaped lollies and yogurt inside. Yummy! Have you tasted Nom Nom Panda from Kiwiyo? It taste delisous!

When we finished eating our ice - cream or yogurt we would go to JB HI-FI. What would you buy at JB HI-Fi I would buy a big TV and a flash remote.

After that we went home and drink some tea then I had good night sleep.

My Immersion Assembly writing

On a wet muddy Friday 8:30 Pt England School had a Immersion Assembly. First Team 1 Then Team 2, Team 3, Team 4 and Team 5. The teachers had to perform

it was kinder funny.

Team 1’s item was about that they get to earn golden shiny money by being good. Team 2’s item is about ice cream and Team 3’ s item is about learning about different jobs. Team 4’s item which is our item is about Emotion and Money. Team 5’s item is about Smart money.

Team 1’s item was about that they get to earn money by being good. And they will be having there market in class. And they will do selling and stuff.

Team 2’s item is about the yummy freezing ice cream. They will be making yummy creamy ice cream it was so fun because they were telling question and if we get it right we get a ice block.

My Game Animation

Welcome to my awesome game animation. It is called Ghost Girl. You will never be bored playing my cool game on a wet lunchtime. This game is awesome for me but hey you should try it. to see if it is cool for you.

My character is Ghost Girl. She is outside and then she will be in her house. Her powers are that she can fly, plus she can be invisible cause she’s a ghost. Her mission is to keep her family safe.

Use W to jump A to go left and D to go right and S to go down. On level 2 there will be a mystery box and there will be a prize inside of it. It might be a bag of coins, a hat or a trophy or anything.

You need to kill the zombies wich are stick man by jumping onto them. To lose a life the zombies will kill you but that is only on Level 2 so I made it easy for you on Level 1. To get back one life you need to to collect a heart or two. Now you will go on level 3.

Creating a word problem

Today the Decagons were creating word problem about roses. The equation was 27 x 8 = ? So I worked it out. It shows my buddies idea's as well as mine. My buddy was Latu. She worked it out by doing 27 timetables.

Creative Paragraphs- Man In Space

 This week we have been learning to rework our writing to make our paragraphs interesting for our audience. 

We started by writing a creative sentence about this picture. As a class we will choose Nate's sentence because we liked it the best and wrote a paragraph each to follow the chosen sentence. 

Here is the beginning of my story that starts with Nate's sentence.

A spaceman bravely walks out into the icy milkyway. As he gets out of his vehicle he is so surrprised that he is floating. Behind him he sees a glowing.

As he turns he sees the glowing is coming from a big planet called Jupiter. Jupiter is so big, not normal big, enormous big.

Jupiter is the planet that he has been searching for. He was searching for it because he wanted to impress his mum because his mum thinks he can never see Jupiter. He called his mum and said “ See mum I told you I would find it” he said.

He called his boss and said I did it boss. And his boss said “Did what” said his boss. “I found the planet” Yay! Agent you have finished your misson.

My Assembly Recount

On the first day of term 2 the teacher’s filmed a movie during the holiday’s. My favourite one was team 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 which was all of them. I liked team 1 because they handed out healthy food which was yummy!.

The healthy was : Sandwich’s, Carrot’s and cellery. It tasted yummy. I don’t like cellery. “Do you like cellery”? My favourite one is the carrot because it was, crunchy and delisous!

There movie was dogs eating healthy food, lunch box and healthy food.

I hope they do that next term. That was a yummy and cool. Have you eaten healthy food?

That was the coolest thing ever.

People have different beliefs about Easter. Some people think it is about bunnies, easter eggs, food, when Jesus Christ was resurrected and some people don’t celebrate it.

Use your WITS

You should use your W.I.T.S because your W.I.T.S can help you get out of trouble. WITS are for making people happy.

Walk away means that if someone is bullying you can walk away. Because when my little sister was saying mean words in Samoan I just walk away.  

Ignore it means If someone sends a mean email to you you've got to ignore it or delete. Plus if I see my sister doing the evil eyes I just look away and ignore it.

Talk to the person that is annoying you. Tell them what they are doing to annoy you and ask them to stop if you don’t like it. One day I was getting bullied and I told them

Seek help if you finish talking about it and they don’t listen seek help. Even if they keep on punching you just seek help.

You should use your wits everyday. It will help you.    

My camp recount

Last week on an ugly sweety hot wednesday to friday all the year 5 and 6 had camp. I was in the real dealz with Mr Goodwin. Camp was really cool!! And in the morning we do some jump jam. We did Jump jam because we so EXHAUSTED!! On camp we had leaders my leaders were Iyvone,

At camp the Real dealz and I started to play a activity I was there half  we are playing top town. Hey but guess what the teachers call it top town but Mr Jacobson calls it the “Kill Zone”. It was pretty cool how we went through the “tunnel of doom”!

The next cool amazing thing was, that we went down to the beach to do some kayaking! Have you done kayaking before? I was really excited. When we got in we had to do foot bum foot. Then we went into the boat and did foot bum foot the next thing is that you have to do spoon knife spoon knife.

It was cool at camp and quite funny! The next thing is we went to sleep “ZzzzzzzzZ”!

Eeling

My group is called the chocolate fish my group was learning how to catch eels. We were talking about something else. Have you ever heard of a taniwha eel well keep looking on my presntation and you will find                                                                          out.

Exercise Invetigation

In Room 9 and 10 we have been learning to do a Statistical Investigation. First we ask a question Then we worked out the answer and presented it in a graph. Lastly we wrote about what we found out. I hope you enjoy our investigation.

My holiday highlight

In the holiday me and my family went somewhere wonderful.

It was my favourite place to swim it was at Parakai Springs. When  my sister go in the pool it was really warm my little sister had floaties on because she couldn't float .

After we swam we went to eat some BBQ When we took a Bite of the chicken it tasted yummy in the inside and the outside but my favourite was the mashed potato. We had hot dogs. The butter started to melt.  Then we were very cold so we went into the pool again. But then I told my mum if I could go to the slid she said yes. When I got on the slide I was excited and little scared.

As people were going on the slide I heard some screaming I had no idea what the screaming was all about. Maybe it was just because they were having fun. So then I hopped off the slide because it was quite scary. After that I went back in the nice, warm pool. It felt fantastic. Moreover, I was still in the pool and I saw people doing bombs. So I decided to do a bomb with my cousins.

Then we went home and went to sleep because it was a very long day. I felt really tired after that long day.
