Underneath the willow tree,

As the wind rushes by

Making the leaves go

From side to side

It turned my frown upside down,

It got me so calm

As I watch the sun go by

WALT: Test Ready, preparing myself with strategies to do my best in the upcoming tests          

My teacher gave us a task to do for this week it was for me to be ready for our upcoming tests. It's not just for me but other students who are in my class.

Do you know what a good friend is? A good friend is sort of like a best friend if you’d like to know
what it is to being a good friend then just keep on reading because in the following paragraphs I
will be explaining to you what a good friend is.

A good friend is always loyal. Being loyal to your friend is like always being there for them when
they need you there. For example, if your friend is getting bullied you should be there and back
her/him up in that way they would be loyal back, being loyal to your friend can make you be the
bestest friend. That’s what being loyal can do it’s really easy to be loyal. One time I was getting
in trouble, the teacher thought it was only me but really it was all of us I was so upset but then
my friends came along and said that it wasn’t just me, they are all good friends.

Honesty is another way of being a good friend, do you know how? Well telling the truth can
make you a good friend because by being honest your friends can trust you and if they can
trust you they will always tell the truth to you because they always know that you’ve got their
back and they’d know that you will never tell a lie. You can be trusted if you tell the truth your
friends will know that you are a good friend and that they can always count on you.

But the number one thing to do is being yourself make sure your friend likes you for you
because if your just being another person they would like that person not you. So if you be
yourself nothing will go wrong. My parents once told me that I should be myself and everyone
would know who you are, but I thought that I would get friends by being someone else. I tried
to be so funny that my friends that I had didn’t like me anymore so the next day I listened to my
parents advice so then my friends liked me for me.

So there you have it these are thought on being a good friend, so remember being a good friend
is being loyal, Telling the truth and being yourself. Be a good friend not a bad friend, care for
them and make sure you will always be their friend no matter what happens because in the end
you might not see each other again.

I've been reading ‘a book called Storm which is written and illustrated by Margaret Beames.

Who are the characters in this book?

There is a girl named Erin, she’s fourteen years of age, and she lives in a farm with her
mum, her dad, little brother and her little sister on the way.  

What do you mean by on the way?

Well her mum is pregnant

Anyways tell us more about the book Kerstein?

So Erin is stuck with doing her inside chores because her parents think that she’s
not capable of doing anything else.

Well at least she’s not doing chores like us islanders do?

What the author was trying to tell us is when things are hard the number
one thing is to Never give up.

So what have you been reading lately Samoa?

I've been reading a book called the Secret Game plan written by Maria Samuela 

Tell us who the characters are?

There is a girl named Mata, she likes to play rugby, and her one wish is to win one game against a boy called Sami and his friends. 

Why does she want to win against them?

That’s Because the boys in Mata’s class, kept calling the girls useless, and so the girls wanted to prove them wrong. 

Tell us more about the Book?

Well while Mata was in class she wrote a secret game plan at the back of her writing book. She leaped over to whisper to Nga, saying Training at lunchtime.

What do you think the message the author is trying to tell us?

It doesn’t really matter what kind of gender you are, just know that you should not let anyone or anything stand in your way?

My buddy and I have been working on a book called STORM which is written by Margaret Beams. There is a girl called Erin and she loves being on her family farm for the school holidays. Trouble is, Erin gets stuck with the boring chores and her parents don't think she's capable of much else. To find out more about this story please watch the video above, Hope you enjoy.

As the sun has set,

Teacher Strike Day

More time to teach

This must STOP! Our teachers must focus more on the students rather than working on
our reports, our learning is more important. All the teachers in New Zealand need more
time to teach there students, The reason why they need to spend more time with us is
because  some of us students have trouble understanding how and what to do.When
students come to ask the teachers a question they are usually always busy doing reports,
paperwork and presentations, I really want this to change.

Resoursing for additional needs

Some students even need one teacher to themselves, So I prefer having more teachers in
one classroom. Students who are in need, needs more help than usual students. I think
that in each class there’s always one group of students that find it hard to learn. So that
way students in need catch up with the rest of the classes learning.

Better Pay

The way I look at things teachers don’t get paid enough, So I think that teachers who
have been teaching for years should get more amount of money than new teachers
should, because they worked hard every year and they had the same amount of money.
They work hard everyday so that they could get money for their families and to pay
their bills.

Conclusion

So there you have it, you should know that the teachers have done a lot for you. I hope

that they should give teachers more amount of money for their families.

Immersion Assembly

As we sat down the sound of music came to my ears and our principle came out  dressed as Beyonce and also dancing his way on the stage, I thought he was just dressing up to make us laugh but really he was actually ment to Beyonce. Now let me tell you about my favourite item, every item was fantastic and amazing but one of them really blew me away.

Team 1 was the team that blew me away it was like an expectation vs reality type of video. Anyway the team 1 teachers made a movie and it was about what our expectation’s should look like, but Mrs Dwyer was doing the oppisite she was trying to show us what not to do. So basically what they are trying to tell us  is to eat a healthy breakfast, exercise and also sleep early.

I would just like to thank each and everyone of the teachers for giving up their time to prepare their movies an also to the team five teachers for their act. It was a great Immersion assembly it was one of my favourite's, all because of the teachers at Pt England School.

Why people need to drink water?

Sometimes I ask myself, Why is water so important? And my answer I kept on hearing was to keep everyone alive but i’m pretty sure that's not all. Water can also keep our body pure and clean.

Did you know that water helps to get almost all of the carbon dioxide out of your body. When you breath out all the carbon dioxide comes out all because you have drunk water. Isn’t that amazing.

Eventually, people use water to clean stuff, like yourself and some dirty laundry there’s loads of things water can clean. Now I think i’m forgetting something that’s right did you know that water can Evaporate.

Evaporate means when ice can turn into liquid then it water vapours. Have you been at a beach? Before because if you have you have just done Evaporation. So when you dry up the water just floats into the air then they gather altogether next it turns into a cloud that’s called Condensation then when rain comes down that’s called Precipitation.

Finally I’m finish talking you guys might be think wow she writes for long well it alright well sometimes I write short paragraphs, So where was I that’s write. So did you like my writing about the water cycle well I hope you did thanks for reading.
