My Brainstorm

Memory and Kerstein's Athletics Recount

Paragraph 1: I was with all the year 5 girls and with Miss Garden she was our leader. My team was called Tainui now it is called Hine Moana I think that is a better name than Tainui.

Paragraph 2: The first sport we did was shot put their were two events the first event was if we wanted to win some points for our team, the second event was if we wanted just to have fun. If we are in the practising and we are good at it we need to go to the other team. That was my favourite sport.

Paragraph 3: The sports that I participate in was high jump, shot put, discus and javelin plus my favourite sport was high jump. The thing I loved about it was because I love jumping and the thing that was really hard was doing the scissor kick It was pretty hard but at least I tried my best.

Paragraph 4: Athletics is important to me because we could work as a team and also you could find new friends as well.I love sports it is the best it makes me feel good about myself.

My brainstorm

Happy Halloween

On Halloween my family and I didn't go trick or treating nut it doesn't matter at least we are a family said my dad. I ask my dad this " Dad what are we going to do today" and he said we will go and buy our own lollies for Halloween and some for the trick or treating kids. So we went to Pak'n Save.


As soon as we got to Pak'n Save we went looking for the lollies. Finally we found the lollies so we went to pick some lollies I picked the L&P chocolate, my sisters picked M&Ms and this lolly  I forgot what it was called but..... After that we went to the counter and after that we went home.

After all that we were finally home and we got to play a game with the lollies. Their is only one rule: you are not allowed to eat anyone's lollies. My family and I enjoyed it it was Magnificent and Amazing.

It was really fun I couldn't stop laughing because it was so funny when me and my dad always lose and we never got any lollies but it doesn't matter. Have a Happy Halloween.

My Brainstorm Immersion Assembly

My Holiday Highlight

In the holidays I went to the Netball holiday Program at the AMI Netball courts. The people who were there from our school was Lotu, Sulieti, Memory, Patrisha and Lishana. We all met new friends there.

Their names are Jasmine and Mechico. We got to do the Program for 3 days Monday to Wednesday. We thought it was just Pt England Netball teams going but when we got there their were heaps of people from different schools but unless we met new friends.

First we were doing some stretching after that we went into groups my coach’s name is Serenah. She taught us how we should balance when we jump and catch the ball. She said we had to bend our knees when we land. Another thing she taught us when we do overhead pass we should throw it to their chess.

The last thing we did was playing a game of Netball there were 4 Teams there was Dark Red, Black, Pink and Light Red. I was in the black team were the winner in the first game and we had to vs the team who won on the other side so after that the points were 5 all and there was only 10 seconds and black got six and we all were screaming YAY WE WON!! but then Serenah said well done black. So we did our cant and we said “ Go Black Yay “.

My favourite thing about the holiday program was that we were working hard as a team. Then we got to al, go home I was exhausted then I went to sleep.

Immersion Assembly

On Monday October 12th Pt England School and all the Teachers and Parents were at the Immersion Assembly inside Pt England Hall. The topic for this term is Outwit, Outsmart, Outlast and PES SURVIVORS, ADAPTATION AND ADAPT. Team 1 are learning about the zoo because they are going to the zoo on Thursday 29th of October.

Next was Team 2 they are learning about dinosaurs after that they told Barney the dinosaur to come out. Wait I just remembered Team 1 did a Karaoke with the song Roar by Katy Perry. They are learning about animals to like Lions, Monkeys and Little baby Cubs and Gorillas. It was Amazing, Fabulous, Survivable and Adaptive.

Team 4 were telling people from team 4 where are they. They said lots of different places like the jungle in Australia it was so funny. All the movies were quite funny but the Team who didn't have a movie was Team 5 were acting about learning how to adapt it was incredible and amazing all the movies were about adaptation.

I learn’t that we should Survive by Adapting and what I liked about assembly is we get to see all the teachers perform. Do you think the little singers are cool?

Nesian Fusion

Introduction

The Nesian Fusion performed at Pt England School in the hall at assembly. It was on Friday 18th Sept 2015 they were dressed with makeup on. They were practicing their performance for Saturday.

1st Paragraph

What I liked about the music was it was a beat box which is Beau Monga  and what I liked about Nyssa’s music was it was a Samoan version and it was a english version too. Their Sharp moves with the Ailao, One Pacific  T-Shirts and some cool dancers.

2nd Paragraph

They spun the Ailao so fast at the end of the music. (No to Fear) I was really inspired I wished I was in that group because I have always wanted to spin an Ailoa.

Conclusion

I thought it was awesome and the dancers are talented. They are very talented with the Ailao.

About Cross Country

Introduction

On a muddy Monday all the families, parents, teachers and the whole school were at a muddy cross country on the PES Reserve.

2nd Paragraph

In our magnificent class we got changed, next we left our class before we left we went toilet after that we went to the hard courts. When we got on the courts we sat waiting for our turn. When it was our turn Mrs Nua came and took us on the line then we got ready for a race.

3rd Paragraph

When Mrs Nua took us we had to stand in line for the race, then Mr Burt said ready set go and he used the wooden clappers. Then we started running around the muddy field and we went out of the gate to the PES reserve all the way in front of the park and all the way back to school I was so exhausted but I saw the finished line so I ran as fast as I could.

last Paragraph

I came past the finish line but then I came 11th or 10th anyway .I was still proud of myself. I am in Tainui which is blue.

Dictogloss Trade and Enterprise.

Trade

Trade means when you swap something for something else. You could swap a doll for money, something for a service, money for a service etc. You got the idea. Trade is an exchange of things.

Enterprise

Enterprising is when your starting a new bussiness. When you are making something to sell. First you need a plan, then you figure out what you need and make it. Then you can trade it.

Custom Stationary group.

I am in the Custom Stationary group at school. We are being enterprising because We are making bookmarks to sell. They look cool because they have a pitucture of you on it you can have anything on it.
