I'm Mark, a teacher working on the Summer Learning Journey you signed up to at the end of term last year. I know you haven't started yet, but I thought I would just remind you that it is still available for you to start anytime. I know the holidays can be a bit boring, but it is important for us to keep our minds trained so we can hit the ground running when we get back to school. So reading and writing, and researching and being curious, are all important parts of that.
These holidays the Summer Learning Journey is all about travel and other cultures. It has heaps of different activities to do, and there are lots of students already participating. Some of the best things about the programme is that you can choose the activities you want to do, when you want to do them, and the points you earn from blogging and commenting can help you win prizes. There are also travelers, locals, and teachers commenting on everyone's blogs.
Anyways, I hope to see you online with your friends soon, but if not then I hope you enjoy the rest of your holidays and keep up the great work next year!
Kia ora Kerstein!
